PRODUCT HACKATHON AT YODLEE

I had participated in Product Hackathon at YODLEE on 26-JUL-2017. The problem statement given to the participants was to understand  the CIBIL system of credit rating in India and find out  the limitations of CIBIL system.  Found following issues with the CIBIL system  CIBIL scoring  is heavily focused on past loan payment history  is outdated  provides a Limited view of a Consumer's actual financial condition now  ignores the fact that the current data can provide more accurate view of consumer's financial status  I  had to come up with a Solution which overcomes these  problems associated with the CIBIL based rating system. Had proposed a Solution as RUNTIME LOAN DEFAULTER DETECTION SYSTEM. It was a cloud based solution. After a bank loan is provided to the eligible customers, bank can continuously monitor the financial health of the customer. Data is collected from Bank statements, Credit card statements an...

BLOOM STORY

BACKGROUND The World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines recommend that every country should plan for its annual emergency blood reserve to meet the blood requirements of at least one percent of its total population. What it translates into the fact that for India with a total population of about 1.3 billion, should have an annual reserve of 13 million blood units. PROBLEM The latest data (2015-2016) from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, suggests a collection of about 10.9 million blood units per year. This clearly shows a yearly deficit of 1.2 million blood units. CURRENT SCENARIO Family members of patients (Seekers) have tough time in finding donors for emergency blood needs. Blood Banks have scarcity of blood units. They sell/give blood units in cases of emergencies but they ask seekers to find a replacement of blood units. Seekers would send out WhatsApp/Facebook messages to reach out to potential donors. It works b...

Value Management at Tanishq Store

Based on my observation and discussion with the staff at the Tanishq store I could understand the productizing process at Tanishq. I could map their productizing process to my learning of 5 different phases of productizing framework.  Understanding the value  They do following to understand the value proposition they have to create: They do market research They conduct surveys in which they ask their customer to fill certain forms. In the market surveys they try to find  How often customers will do jewelry shopping For whom customers will buy jewelry Customer age Customer gender Occasion for which they will do shopping Whether they will buy only from Tanishq or buy from other Jewelry stores also. From surveys and markets research, they have understood requirement for different market segments, for example they have understood the market for wedding jewelry, jewelry for working women etc. They also do competitive analysis to understand how their ...

Example of a Great User Experience Design

During Executive MBA at Institute Of Product Leadership one of the courses is User Experience Design and Prototype. On second day of our class I could appreciate great UI which I had encountered while working on Medtronic MyCareLink Smart Mobile app at Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. About this app: 1. This app was meant to be used by senior citizens of US (or India or any other country) who are not tech savvy. They might not have ever used a mobile phone forget about having used a smart phone. They might not be very fluent with English also. 2. This was a medical device ported to a mobile app. It has a very serious purpose of transferring data from a live pacemaker to hardware device (RF Reader) over Radio Frequency. RF Reader transmits this data to Mobile App over Bluetooth. Mobile App sends this data to hospital Care Link server over WiFi or data connection. Oh Boy...Simply Too much technology for senior citizens who had never even held a mobile phone in their hands. So...
